Job description:

We are in the process of setting up a brand new and exciting site. Our Quality Shift Supervisors at this site will assume full ownership their shift and the colleagues who work on the shift to ensure that orders are fulfilled, and customers continue to receive exceptional customer service.

The site will be a 24/7 site and there will be a dedicated Quality Shift Supervisor on each shift, reporting into the Quality Manager. Therefore, we have two vacancies for Quality Shift Supervisors to work 4 on 4 off 0700 – 1900 and two further vacancies for Quality Shift Supervisors to work 4 on 4 off 1900 – 0700.

Main Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Daily management of the colleagues on shift to ensure compliance is achieved at all times, including correct usage of all PPE
  • Liaising with production / warehouse / engineers / biochemist teams
  • Providing comprehensive handover notes for the next shift
  • Working to strict deadlines
  • Carry out regular quality checks throughout the shift from Production to Final Pack
  • Management of Team Leader and Quality team performance including appraisals
  • Be confident to shut a line down in the event of quality non-compliance
  • Maintain high Health and Safety standards at all times.
  • Adhere to Company policies at all times.
  • Challenge working practices to ensure consistency across all shifts

Requirements:

  • Able to lead a shift working 4 on 4 off (0700 – 1900 or 1900 – 0700), which includes weekend and Bank Holidays / experience of working regular shifts previously.
  • Basic knowledge of medical products would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of quality and compliance
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Proven experience of successfully leading a team previously.
  • Be motivational and organised, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Good IT and numerical skills including MS Office (Excel, Teams etc.).
