Reliable breath alcohol screening using fuel cell sensor technology.
The Alcometer is a professional breath alcohol tester designed to provide fast, reliable screening for alcohol using advanced fuel cell sensor technology. Measuring breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) across a range of 0.00 to 2.00 mg/L, it delivers clear digital results within seconds.
Its compact, easy‑to‑use design makes it suitable for workplace screening, occupational health programmes and on‑site alcohol testing where quick, preliminary results are required. Built‑in warning indicators support alcohol policy thresholds while maintaining straightforward operation for professional users.

About Breath Alcohol Testing
Breath alcohol testing estimates blood alcohol concentration by measuring alcohol present in exhaled breath. Fuel cell sensors selectively oxidise alcohol molecules, producing an electrical signal proportional to BrAC. Breath testing is widely used for rapid screening where immediate insight into recent alcohol consumption is required, while laboratory analysis may be required for confirmatory or evidential purposes.
What does the Alcometer measure?
It measures breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) using fuel cell sensor technology.
Is the Alcometer evidential?
No. It provides a non‑evidential screening result only.
Where is the Alcometer commonly used?
It is used in workplaces, occupational health settings and routine alcohol screening programmes.
How accurate is the Alcometer?
Fuel cell sensors are recognised for providing stable and reliable breath alcohol screening performance when properly maintained and calibrated.
How often does the Alcometer need calibration?
Recalibration is recommended every 6 months or after approximately 500 tests.
