About Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)
Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a bacterium that infects the stomach lining and is commonly associated with gastritis and peptic ulcer disease. H. pylori antigen testing detects bacterial antigens present in stool, which are shed during an active infection.
