With its global reach, SureScreen Diagnostics continues to research and develop cutting-edge products with world-first biodegradable tests. More recently, Surescreen Diagnostics has produced and manufactured lateral flow tests for Mpox and the first dual Influenza + Covid test to be approved for use in the UK.
How we got here
1996
Biocell Diagnostics Ltd established. First company to introduce rapid drug testing in the UK.
1998
Business moves to new HQ in Prime Parkway, Derby to accomodate growth. Biocell is renamed SureScreen Diagnostics Ltd.
1999
SureScreen manufacture 100% of their drug test range in-house. Feminine care products are launched.
2000
Alcohol screening products are launched.
2002
SureScreen launch Oral Fluid Drug Test.
2003
SureScreen become ISO9001 and ISO13485 certified, a mark of their ongoing quality approach.
2006
Pioneering analysis to detect alcohol in hair developed.
2008
SureScreen win BRC approval for retail. Contract won to provide health screening to supermarket shelves.
2009
SureScreen acquire Home Office drug screening contact for The Probation Service.
2010
SureScreen acquire NHS contract to supply drug testing and pregnancy screening products
2014
SureScreen win Telegraph award for Science & Innovation, with a 2nd place for International Business award.
2016
SureScreen sells over 9,000,000 tests per year. That's one every 4 second.
2019
SureScreen COVID-19 tests are an early entrant to the market, with worldwide sales.
2020
SureScreen acquire Supply UK Government contract with COVID-19 antigen test.
2023
SureScreen win two prestigious King's Awards for Enterprise, in the categories of Innovation and International Trade.
